First Tomatoes

We finally got our first tomatoes, four of them. We think they're Golden Sunburst variety, but we're not positive since we got them in an heirloom mix from a raffle (online) at Jennah's Garden. We have several other varieties from the mix, too. We'll find out what the heck kind of tomatoes they are in the coming weeks.

To celebrate the harvest we made BLT sandwiches. Yum.

It's also starting to be zucchini season, pulled three off this morning. Our beans are almost done producing - they didn't do much this year and the soybeans are a sad sight. Lettuce also bolted before we harvested more than a few odd leaves, and strawberries didn't produce more than 2 or 3 fruits. All the broccoli and kohlrabi died as soon as it sprouted. Either our green thumbs went brown, or the losses were due to the intense hail we had early in the season.

Still waiting on...more tomatoes, grapes, more raspberries (already had one decent harvest), melons, pumpkins, peppers, more beets and carrots (already pulled a ton of these, too), popcorn.
